Vitalize Your Game with Cardiogolf

Cardiogolf is a golf-specific program I developed to help people improve their golf games and fitness levels at the same time.

A study done on golfers, who practice Tai Chi, showed that they have better joint stability and balance and control during weight shift of the golf swing, than golfers who do not practice Tai Chi.

Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art that uses slow controlled movements and various postures focusing on balance. Incorporating balance exercises into your golf-specific workout will help improve your balance and stability to give you more power and control.

Cardiogolf Single Leg Balance Drill

This exercise will help you improve your balance during your golf swing.  Closing your eyes, when doing this exercise, will increase the difficulty. Eliminating a visual point to help you focus on while you are trying to stay balanced will intensify the exercise.

Extend your arms out to the side to help maintain balance
  • With eyes open, stand your golf address position.
  • Lift one leg off the ground so that you are standing on one leg with knee slightly flexed.
  • Hold the position for 10 seconds working up to holding position for up to 30 seconds.
  • Repeat on the other leg.
  • Repeat exercise with eyes closed.
